69 obat sirup dari tiga perusahaan farmasi dicabut izin edarnya oleh Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) RI. Adapun ketiga perusahaan itu adalah PT Yarindo Farmatama, PT Universal Pharmaceutical Industries, dan PT Afi Farma, ketiganya terbukti melakukan pelanggaran.
Keputusan itu diambil setelah BPOM melakukan pengujian sampel dan investigasi. "Ketiga industri farmasi tersebut telah melakukan pelanggaran di bidang produksi sirup obat," jelas BPOM dikutip dari detikHealth, Selasa (8/11/2022).
Sebelum ini BPOM RI juga sudah merilis daftar 198 obat yang dinyatakan aman dan boleh kembali digunakan masyarakat dengan pengawasan dokter. Namun, dalam daftar tersebut, terdapat sejumlah produk yang kemudian dicabut izin edarnya yakni produksi PT Afi Farma.

"Dengan penjelasan ini, maka informasi produk sirup obat dari ketiga industri farmasi yang tercantum pada Penjelasan BPOM Tentang Informasi Kelima dan Keenam Hasil Pengawasan BPOM Terkait Sirup Obat yang Tidak Menggunakan Propilen Glikol, Polietilen Glikol, Sorbitol, dan/atau Gliserin/Gliserol, dinyatakan tidak berlaku," sambung BPOM.
Berikut daftar obat yang sebelumnya dinyatakan aman, kini dipastikan tercemar etilen glikol dan dietilen glikol melampaui ambang batas aman, sehingga ditarik izin edarnya:

- Domperidone drops 10 ml (Afifarma)
- OBH AFI Dus 1 botol plastik 125 ml (Afifarma)
- OBH AFI (Rasa Lemon) dus 1 botol plastik 100 ml (Afifarma)
- Zinc Sulfate Monohydrate sirup dus 1 botol plastik 60 ml (Afifarma)
- Zinc Go Forte sirup dus 1 botol plastik 60 ml (Afifarma)
- Domino suspensi 60 ml (AFIFARMA)
- Domperidone suspensi 60 ml (AFIFARMA)
