Dubai - Al Quran yang pernah dimiliki Thomas Jefferson sempat dipamerkan di Dubai Expo 2020. Al Quran tersebut dibeli dan dipelajari oleh Jefferson semasa kuliah.

Al Quran tersebut dibeli Jefferson pada 1765 saat ia menjadi mahasiswa hukum di The College of Willam and Mary.  Ia merupakan seorang penganut Protestan.

Thomas Jefferson menjadi presiden AS dalam 2 kali masa jabatan tahun 1801-1809. Ia merupakan presiden pertama yang dilantik di Washington DC.

Ketertarikan Jefferson kepada Al Quran banyak dikaji oleh berbagai ahli sejarah dan hukum. Meski bukan pendukung Islam, dia menolak pemaksaan atau kekerasan terhadap minoritas agama.
