Struktur Procedure Text

Struktur procedure text ada tiga. Berikut penjelasannya:

1. Goal/aim/purpose

Goal adalah tujuan dari teks. Goal juga tertera dalam judul teks.

2. Material

Material terdiri dari dua jenis, yaitu tools (peralatan) dan ingredients (bahan-bahan). Menurut buku Bongkar Pola Soal UNBK SMA MA IPA, bagian ini tidak selalu ada dalam procedure text, khususnya yang berisi tips atau penjelasan tentang cara kerja sesuatu.

3. Steps/way/instructions

Bagian ini berisi langkah-langkah dari teks.

Ciri-ciri Procedure Text

Ada empat ciri-ciri dari procedure text yang perlu diketahui. Mulai dari tenses yang hingga penggunaan kata hubung hingga keterangan yang dipakai.

Menggunakan simple present tense
Menggunakan kata kerja tindakan
Menggunakan kata hubung temporal, seperti first, second, next, then, finally.
Menggunakan adverbs (kata keterangan) untuk menyatakan rincian waktu, tempat dan cara yang akurat.

Contoh Procedure Text

Berikut beberapa contoh procedure text dengan berbagai tema. Mulai dari membuat kopi, menggunakan atm hingga membuat slime.

1. The Procedure of Making Instant Coffee

Ingredients:

Water
A teaspoon of coffee
Creamer

Tools:

Kettle
Mug
Spoon

Steps:

First, put water and plug it in
Then, put in teaspoon of coffee
After that, pour just a teaspoon of the very hot (nearly boiling) water into the mug, only enough to dampen the instant coffee.
Stir in the rest of the hot water
Add creamer to the coffee and stir
Finally, ready for served

2. How To Make Pancake

Ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten lightly
1 1/2 cups milk
2 tbsp butter, melted

Steps:

Sift together first three ingredients (to prevent lumps)
In a separate bowl, mix egg and milk, add it to flour mix, stirring until just smooth
Then stir in butter. If you want to mix it up, throe in blueberries, a tiny dice of apple, or bits of banana
Grease a griddle or nonstick pan with cooking spray or a little vegetable oil
Heat pan on medium for about ten minutes
Pour butter to form pancake of whatever size you like
Cool first side until bubbles form on top, about three minutes, then flip and cook other side until it, too, is brown, about two minutes.
Serve immediately with butter and syrup or hold briefly in warm oven. Serves four.

3. How To Make Spaghetty Bolognese

Ingredients:

1 tbsp olive oil
Chopped bacon
2 chopped onions
2 chopped carrots
2 chopped celery sticks
2 chopped garlic cloves
Minced beef
Chopped basil leaves
1 tsp dried oregano
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 red chilli pepper, chopped
125ml red wine
6 tomatoes, sliced in half
Spaghetti

Methods:

Add spaghetti into a pot almost filled with water. Add salt to the spaghetti.
Allow boil for fifteen minutes or until the spaghetti softens. Drain the water from the cooked spaghetti and set aside.
Heat the oil in a pot and add bacon and fry until it turns golden.
Reduce the heat and then add the carrots, celery sticks, onions and garlic cloves. Fry the vegetables for 10 minutes.
Add the minced beef and cook until the meat turns brown.
Add the tomato paste, the bay leaves, tomatoes, the chopped red chilli pepper and the red wine.
Stir with a spoon. Cook for 1 hour 15 minutes stirring occasionally, until you have a rich, thick sauce.-The Bolognese sauce is ready! Serve with spaghetti.

4. How to Make Scramble Egg

Ingredients:

2 eggs
Pinch each salt and pepper
1 tbsp butter

Methods:

Whisk eggs, salt and pepper in small bowl. Melt butter in non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Pour in egg mixture and reduce heat to medium-low. As eggs begin to set, gently move spatula across bottom and side of skillet to form large, soft curds.
Cook until eggs are thickened and no visible liquid egg remains, but the eggs are not dry.

5. How to Make Slime

Ingredients:

1/4 cup white school glue
1/2 cup of cornstarch
Food coloring

Steps:

Pour 1/4 cup white school glue and a 1/2 cup of cornstarch in a bowl.
Add 3 drops of food coloring
Mix it well.
Knead it with your hands for 10 minutes.
Heat it in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Let it cool, then knead it for another 10 minutes.

Steps:

2 tablespoons raw honey

Steps:

Combine avocado, honey and vinegar in a mini food processor; process until smooth. (Alternatively, place in a small bowl; mash with a fork until smooth.)
Apply a thin layer to clean, damp skin. Let dry, then rinse off and moisturize as desired. Oily skin types may not need additional moisturizer. This makes enough for 2-
3 applications and should be used immediately.

9. How to Make Banana Chips

Ingredients:

Banana
Lemon juice

Methods:

First, slice your bananas as thinly as possible and place in a bowl. I aim for less than 1/4 inch thick. This is tricky to do if you are just guessing and doing it with a knife. If your bananas are firm enough, you can use a mandolin to make sure your slices are all uniform.
Cover the bananas with water, and add lemon juice. Gently stir the bananas to make sure they are all exposed to the lemon juice mixture. Let them sit for a couple minutes.
Gently spoon the banana slices out of the bowl and place them on a paper towel to blot excess water.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and arrange the banana slices so that they are not touching.
Set your oven to the lowest temperature it can go. I bake my banana chips at 170 degrees F. They will need to bake for about 5 hours. After 5 hours, remove bananas and flip them over, so the underside gets crispy.
Put the tray back in the warm oven, turn the oven off, and let them sit in the oven overnight. By morning, your banana chips will be super crispy!

10. How to Make Milkshake

Ingredients:

Ice cream
Milk
Add-ins: syrup, fruit, nut butters, cookies, etc
Toppings: whipped cream, cherries or syrup drizzled.

Steps:

Soften the ice cream and chill the glass. Take the ice cream out of the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes before use. At the same time, place your glass in the freezer. This will keep the shake cold when you serve it.
Measure the ingredients. 1 cup ice cream to 1/4 cup milk is a great ratio.
Blend the shake. In a blender, combine the milk and ice cream and blend until smooth. Add any your mix-ins and blend them in to your desired consistency.
Serve. Pour the shake into the chilled glass and serve immediately.
