Letter of Acceptance (LoA) merupakan elemen penting dalam beasiswa. LoA juga menjadi persyaratan dalam beasiswa Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP). Di dalam LPDP ada dua jenis yaitu unconditional atau conditional.
Berikut adalah jenisnya yang dikutip dari laman LPDP:
A. Jenis LoA
1. LoA Unconditional
Merupakan surat pernyataan telah diterima perguruan tinggi tanpa syarat. Kandidat hanya perlu melakukan registrasi ulang saja. Di dalam unconditional LoA tercantum informasi sebagai berikut:

- Program studi
- Durasi studi
- Awal perkuliahan (intake)
- Informasi mengenai langkah berikutnya untuk memulai perkuliahan seperti registrasi ulang, pembayaran, dan lain sebagainya.
2. Conditional LoA
Merupakan surat pernyataan telah diterima di perguruan tinggi dengan sejumlah persyaratan tertentu. Maksudnya sebelum pelamar diterima harus memenuhi beberapa persyaratan yang telah ditentukan, misalnya:
- TOEFL/IELTS harus memenuhi skor yang disyaratkan
- Belum menyerahkan tema riset/ penelitian
- Belum menyerahkan dokumen untuk persyaratan pendaftaran Perguruan Tinggi, contoh: ijazah dan transkrip nilai
- Belum menyerahkan pernyataan sponsorship
B. Cara Mendapatkan LoA
Melansir dari laman Schoters, berikut adalah cara untuk mendapatkan LoA
1. Memperhatikan Syarat-syarat
Setelah menentukan universitas, perhatikan ketentuan yang harus dipenuhi agar dapat diterima. Tiap kampus memiliki persyaratan yang berbeda-beda.
Pendaftar barus meriset berkas-berkas yang harus dikumpulkan. Misalnya adalah motivation letter, esai, sertifikat kemampuan bahasa, transkrip, dan lainnya.
2. Mengirimkan Seluruh Dokumen
Jika sudah mengecek seluruh persyaratan berkass, maka proses selanjutnya adalah mengirimkan seluruh dokumen.
Pengiriman dokumen biasanaya dilakukan melalui aplikasi pendaftaran daring. Pendaftar cukup mengunggah semua berkas ke laman resmi dan menunggu waktu pengumuman.
3. Menunggu LoA
Setelah selesai mengirimkan semua berkas, pendaftar adalah menunggu keputusan dari pihak perguruan tinggi. Apa keputusan tersebut diterima maupun ditolak.
Apabila diterima, telisik jenis LoA yang diberikan. Misalnya conditional berarti harus melampirkan syarat sedangkan jika unconditional berarti langsung menuju tahap registrasinya.
