Jennie BLACKPINK Resmi Comeback dengan Mantra

Kamu yang sudah menantikan perilisan terbaru Jennie BLACKPINK, nikmati track anyar dari artis Korea Selatan ini berjudul Mantra. Lagu ini menjadi jejak baru Jennie di dunia musik Amerika Serikat.

Jennie lewat agensi pribadinya OA (ODDATELIER) resmi bergabung dengan Columbia Records beberapa waktu lalu dan Mantra jadi perilisan pertamanya di bawah label rekaman tersebut. As expected, si member BLACKPINK menghadirkan melodi pop yang catchy dipadu vokal dengan selipan rap ala Jennie.

Dalam sebuah wawancara dengan Vogue, penyanyi berdarah Selandia Baru itu mendeskripsikan lagu Mantra sebagai track yang fun. Ini merupakan lagu yang diciptakan untuk merayakan girl power dan menginspirasi setiap perempuan untuk bersinar penuh percaya diri dengan cara mereka sendiri.

Sinar itu juga yang ditampilkan oleh Jennie dalam setiap adegan di MV Mantra. Berdurasi di bawah 3 menit, mantan artis YG Entertainment itu tampak berganti-ganti busana dan gaya rambut. Mengisyaratkan nggak perlu takut untuk mengekspresikan diri sesuai dengan keinginan.

MV Mantra juga menghadirkan kesan baru yang berbeda dari debut solo Jennie, SOLO. Tema pemberdayaan yang dibawakannya terlihat jelas dari pesona dan penampilan Jennie yang mencolok di sepanjang video. Kamu nggak akan bisa berkedip selama menyaksikannya!

Mantra diproduseri oleh JUMPA, El Guincho, dan Șerban Ghenea.

JUMPA sebelumnya turut ambil bagian dalam lagu debut girlband THEBLACKLABEL, MEOVV, lewat lagu MEOW. El Guincho banyak bekerja sama dengan solois Rosalia (yang sebelumnya sempat duet juga dengan Lisa BLACKPINK di lagu New Woman). Sementara Șerban Ghenea merupakan sosok di balik deretan hits seperti 7 rings milik Ariana Grande hingga Dusk Till Dawn yang dinyanyikan Zayn Malik.

Jennie juga dicantumkan dalam kredit penulisan Mantra bersama dengan Jelli Dorman (yang juga menulis lagu Lisa-Rosalia New Woman), Claudia Valentina dan Zika (keduanya juga penulis MEOW), Elle Campbell (pernah memproduksi lagu LOVE DIVE milik IVE), JUMPA, Billy Walsh (banyak memproduksi lagu The Kid Laroi hingga Post Malone) dan Șerban Ghenea.
