Geoff Payne, ayah dari mantan anggota band One Direction, Liam Payne, berdiri di dekat tugu peringatan darurat di luar hotel tempat Liam Payne ditemukan tewas setelah jatuh dari balkon kamar hotel di lantai tiga, di Buenos Aires, Argentina, Jumat (18/10/2024).

Geoff datang untuk mengambil barang-barang pribadi sang anak serta mengatur pemulangan jenazah ke Inggris.

Hotel tersebut terlihat ramai dikerumuni warga Argentina yang tak sedikit merupakan penggemar dari One Direction.

Geoff tampak berhenti sejenak untuk membaca beberapa pesan, mencium foto anaknya, dan mengucapkan terima kasih kepada para penggemar yang hadir.

Saat Geoff memasuki hotel, beberapa penggemar Liam berusaha menjaga privasinya dengan mencegah media untuk mengikutinya ke dalam. Mereka bahkan mengangkat tangan mereka untuk melindungi Geoff dari sorotan media ketika ia berada di dalam hotel.
